Blackpool has undergone and continues to see considerable developments particularly to the promenade to transform the Golden Mile for 2011.
For the first time in years, the switch on of the Blackpool Illuminations 2011 will take place on the promenade at the Tower Headland. A number of lawned areas are now evident along the promenade. Blackpool Illuminations 2011 are in planning already! this year in 2010, Robbie Williams flicked the switch but who will it be in 2011? time will tell, watch this space! however, for the Blackpool Lights 2011 what we do know is that the switch on date / Blackpool Illuminations dates are Friday 2nd September 2011 and then turned off Sunday 6th November 2011.
One major prediction for 2011 and again, no hard facts yet, is that this will be an all ticket event! that’s right, following the extensive works on the Tower Headland, the big switch on cencert is thought to be here. It’s been some years since this has happenend so promises to be a spectacular event!
